TERENCE SCHWEIZER as Oliver

Growing up in Lugano, Switzerland, Terence Schweizer spent a lot of his childhood watching movies and developing his passion for acting. In 2013, he graduated as a Building Designer and decided to move to Los Angeles to pursue his dream to become a professional, skilled actor. While in LA, he studied at Santa Monica College, and the Beverly Hills Playhouse with some talented teachers and he also had the great fortune to participate in a couple of successful short films. After two and half years, Terence decided to move to New York to focus more on his stage career and to master the famous Method Acting technique at the prestigious Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute. Terence made his stage debut in “Love Letters To My Children”.

Actors he admires: Daniel Day Lewis, Gary Oldman, and Roberto Benigni. Favorite movies: There Will Be Blood, La Vita e Bella, and Hook

MAYA JASMIN as Lena

Born to a Japanese mother and a Polish father, Maya was born and raised in Ulm, in the South of Germany.  From a young age she pursued acting, singing and playing the piano while she was writing short detective stories and dreaming of becoming a writer when she grows up.
Maya soon picked up a camera and started to be in love with photography and videography. With her BA degree from Goethe University in Frankfurt in Germany, she had the chance to study abroad in Korea and Japan, where she started to pursue photography and video more seriously and worked as photographer and editor. During her time in Japan she continued pursuing acting again and decided to move to New York City,  where she graduated from the Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute. 

Since Maya moved to New York, she had the honor to be the cinematographer for three short films while pursuing her career as actress in the city of her dreams. "Dächer meiner Stadt" is Maya's directorial debut. 

The Crew

SHU HIRAYAMA - Director of Photography

Shu Hirayama is a film/video director and cinematographer from Japan. He worked in a TV production company which is a subsidiary of MBS (Mainichi Broadcasting System) for nine years. Prior to that Shu trained at the Japan institute of Photography and Film. He took a two year Filmmaking/TV Production program (2006-2008).

Now that Shu has decided to try and break into the American market he has completed a one year conservatory program at The New York Film Academy (2016-2017).
Over the years he was on “Mother. Son” (2013 / two hour drama broadcasted by TBS) directed by Hajime Takezono. Which won an ATP Award TV Grand Prix Minister of International Affairs and Communications Prize. Shu also worked for major Japanese networks NHK / TBS / CX / EX / MBS / ABC and BS-TBS / BS-Fuji as a director. In the recent years he has been working on short films, music videos, and commercials in New York City as a Director and Cinematographer.
Shu utilizes his working experience to create an intelligent and efficient pre-production, calm and collected set environment, and careful focused post-production. Shu always believes the most interesting and beautiful thing in filmmaking is the “chemistry” of all those involved in a film’s production.

MATTHEW GERRISH - Assistant Director/ The Postman

Matthew Gerrish was born and raised on the northeastern coast of Massachusetts. As he grew up, film began to take over his life. It started as a love for writing stories, and progressed through watching a large assortment of films. Midway through high school, he was finally able to translate his writing to the screen when he got his first camera. In 2015 he graduated Emerson College with a degree in writing for film and television, and is now located in New York City studying acting at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute. He's worked on dozens of video projects, acted in numerous stage and screen productions, and several of his projects have been nominated for awards at festivals like the Austin Film Festival and the EVVY awards.
